Fried Chicken......

This morning we left Salem for Centralia, which was only a short drive away! This time being driven by Kathy from the Centralia Rotary Club.  It was nice to all be back together again!!

When we arrived in Centralia, we were taken to our respective host families and given a little bit of time to unpack and get sorted out.

Kathy then showed us around her Nursery which looks after on average around 40 children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years old per day.  She also caters for school age children before and after school.

This was then followed by a trip to Kaskaskia College where we were shown around the facilities by Rob, including a look around Dr. Jim Underwood's, the President of the College, office.

After lunch, where Ellen once again had fried chicken (peer-pressure!!) we took a tour around the local hospital and investigated the City of Centralia's Municipal Airport.

The weather today has been a bit better, we even saw some sunshine! Fingers crossed it holds up.
