Hi, I'm Ellen and I'm 27. I live in Norwich and work for Norfolk County Council in the Planning Strategy team, part of the wider Economic Development and Strategy Group. My role involves providing planning and economic intelligence and analysis in order to help steer strategic economic policy and the overall decision making process relating to this aspect of the Council's work. I am hoping that the Group Study Exchange (GSE) experience will help me to develop both professionally and personally as well as be an unforgetable adventure! I am looking forward to spending 4 weeks in the States and meeting lots of new people as well as immersing myself in the American culture! Outside of work I like to spend time with my friends and family, go for long walks at the seaside in the winter (to avoid too many tourists!) and have recently taken up knitting! I would like to take this chance to thank Rotary for this wonderful opportunity, I am sure it is going to be a whirlwind of excitement!
