Since our update yesterday, the team spent what was supposed to be a quiet evening with their host families relaxing before our early start this morning. The weather however, had other plans and with another tornado warning in place, the majority of us spent the night under cover in the basement. Ellen, once again, had another more interesting experience and had to cover down in Dillard's lingerie department in Marion!!!
So, after a bright and early start this morning, the team met at the Varsity Centre in Carbondale and presented to the morning club plus guests. A big thank you to Rich and all who attended this morning. We then jumped in the cars and headed towards Salem to meet our new hosts.
After dropping off our luggage, we proceeded to Springfield to tour the Lincoln museum where we spent a couple of hours touring the amazing Disneyesque exhibitions!! They even had a couple of "digital experiences" that had us jumping from our seats! It was honestly one of the best museums that we have all been to.
Since arriving back in Salem, we have had dinner and are now settling in for the night. We don't have such an early start in the morning but we have a full fun packed schedule and another storm has just begun so doubt that we will get much sleep tonight!!!
